History

The W E and C G Cave Foundation was established by Wilfrid and Constance Cave under a Trust Deed of Settlement dated 17th March 1965. Its formal name was later changed to The Wilfrid and Constance Cave Foundation and since 1998 it has also been known simply as The Cave Foundation. It is an unincorporated trust and registered charity whose objects are ‘to support, encourage and donate to such bodies, associations and organisations as the trustees shall from time to time select’. Trustees are appointed by the trustee board and are at present all direct descendants of Wilfrid and Constance Cave.
